hi guys i have 2 questions

Question one

i have an 80 cm dish i was wondering if i can get astra 1kr and astra 2d on the same dish i have got 2 universal lnbs

Question Two
i have a gds 7000 hd reciver (like the darkbox) how can i get both lnbs connected to the same box it only has an input for one lnb

Astra 19.2E and Astra 28.2 has a distance between of 9°. Usual bracket for more satellites have a 6° distance. So you can't.
You need another dish.

You simply need a diseqc 2x1. Each one of 2 cables in imput 1/2 and only one output for your receiver. Then you'll need to configure your receiver diseqc setting menu.

Shouldn't be a problem providing you can buy or make a suitable bracket.

Many folk get 28E, 19E and 13E on an 80cm Dish.

It's a really good but hard idea...
You'll need to look for a lower focus of dish.
Second focus has a loss of 10/20 cm - a third one much more.

It's a very common and highly successful arrangement in England, not known for rain fade problems. Up where you live might be problematic, though.

Loads of recent Threads from folk wanting to do just this. Brackets are easily obtained and fitted.

Of course, if you wanted 13E as well, it's best to focus the Dish somewhere around 21.5E, but it really isn't an issue.
 
On an 80cm dish,when adjusted optimally you'd get a signal on both satellites stronger than you would get on a standard sky minidish. Focusing the dish somewhere between the two sats work very well, biased towards Astra 19e.
 
If you can find an offset bracket, as said will be ok. A decent 60cm is all you require for these two birds. I remember the TAS60 dishes sky supplied just before launch. Consisted of a small arm for mounting the LNb for 28e.
 
The Triax multiblock will fit most dishes if turned upside down and use one of the holders to clamp onto the focal one. Sometimes necessary to 'thin' one of the holders though.

All you need to do is focus on 19.2e and sling an lnb on either side for 28.2e & 13e as in the piccie below.

Yep, those cheap and nasty plastic LNB holder thingys work too.

Nah your right they are crap :-lmao

They do the job though, most of the time :D

Just make sure the lnb on the dish is secure otherwise they will soon go out of line :toke:
