Yes, situation seems like SUPER beam on hotbird - where sky italia was broadcasted.
 
The url above takes you there but it should be noted that if one was trying to get to the footprint maps for 19e from the Astra site from the start you need to select: International - English rather than UK (shown top right) as listed under 19e slot Astra1M is not shown under UK.

Confirm VERY STRONG signal in Dubai-UAE.test with 2m offset dish but sure reception is possible with less than 1m dish. Amaizing satellite.I will be back with more reports.So-11720H;11758H;11798-signal is stronger than Hot Bird.12032H no signal at all.

I've manufactured new LNB holder today, now my portable receiver batteries being recharged, so tomorrow morning, if no snow or wind, I'll try to catch it.
 
Tried with inverto lnb. No luck so far

16E -ok, 21.6E - ok, between them nothing.
 
shame, shame shame shame on me ! :)

Just realised, these new TPs are in upper band, while I was searching in lower band!

This weekend will do more detailed testing.

Great news! Need to get a dish immediately! What company did you use to supply and mount the dish in DXB? Or did you do it yourself?

For dishs supply you can find it very easy in Dubai,also satellite recivers ; in Naif market you will be able to find this kind of items;mount i do it my self. I can help you if will be require.
 
Can I suggest you wait a few weeks and see what appears on Astra 1M - at the moment theres only 1 channel you can get without access to subscription!
 
We aren't able to received signal of European beam in Iran.
anyone knows of transfer plan?
 
3 tp's from Astra 1H switched over to 1M overnight.

Two carrying RTL channels in the clear on the European beam and the one carrying CNN on the widebeam

No you wont be able to. You will just have to do without those channels as they wont be going widebeam.

Great. Three Premiere TP's are on the widebeam now and only one on the European beam.
Will wait until things become stable, but a sub to Premiere looks an attractive option now.
 
There are several uncofirmed results of getting the wide beam on 140-160cm dishes in Baku, Azerbaijan. Let's see what this weekend will bring to me ;)
 
Tested some transponders and what can I say:
Widebeam coverage here on Latvia is just fantastic...
It's even stronger, than European beam (footprint says opposite - European Beam must be stronger than Widebeam here on Latvia)...
Anyway, I'm very happy, that RTL is on 1M now, very good signal strength - 95% and absolutely no problemo on snow or rain. Widebeam signal strength (CNN for example) - 98%
Love Astra 1M so far... :D
 
I reported a few months ago about being able to receive a reasonable signal from 1G/1H in cyprus on my 80cm.Maybe they were testing the widebeam coverage for 1M

This is great news.Hope they put S*y News on 1M

Unlikley - thats currently carried on 1L

Although anything could happen as SES try to fee up capacity to replace the dead Astra 5A at 31.5E and increase capacity at 23.5E
 
No - its been built to operate with 36 on at any one time. There will be a few extra, but those are to cover tp failures.
 
Umm Im quite surprised - Astra 1M isnt the strongest signal here. Both 1KR & 1L are a few % points stronger for the SNR/ AGC on my DB.

Its no better than Astra 1H!
