from yesterday night april25,continuing this morning,
I am unable to receive this string of transponders
10714/10773/10832/10876/10921/10744/10803/10862/10891/11081/11817/11836/11856/11876

whereas I do get the others within the 30 first Astra 2 transponders as listed in my TP list on my sat receiver.

For example,BBC Parliament comes in fine but BBC RB1 doesn t
,when usually I get equal strength on both!
Any advice?
Or should I renew cable,LNB?

With a few exceptions they are mainly horizontal transponders, so I suspect an LNB problem, or that the skew has gone out of adjustment.

With a 130cm dish in Carcassonne you should have no problem with any 28°e channel.

That sounds very much as if the cable has aluminium foil shielding which has corroded. Aluminium foil cable is not suitable for outdoor use for this very reason and should be replaced with good quality copper foil shielded cable.

i ordered" 15 VPRTC" cable with
" Connecteur F à compression 8.2 mm" fitted on both ends
due to arrive soon
The strange thing is that the gradual weakening of the signal happened a few days after the rainy period
the signal went from 72 stable to 34-55 unstable,; the green quality bar incessantly moving when there was no wind...
so I thought of propagation ,my mistake!

I got the "15 VPRTC" cable set and,oh deception
i still have BBC 1 and 2HD with a stable 86% but a very weak quality, fluctuating between 0 and 39% all the time, picture cuts off a few saconds now and then comes back...within a few seconds, more or less but the green bar keeps jumping fwd & backward all the time within a 0 to 39%bracket.
BBC News and BBC 4 won t show up at all in HD
However the SD versions are present with a stable level of 85 and a 70% quality
The lnb is only 2 years old,a black inverto red label.
So, i m basically back to 3 days ago...with a brand new cable
The strange thing is the permanent instability of the HD signal for BBC 1 and 2
CNN ,also on astra 2 but wide beam, gets 80%level and 76%quality very stable
Thank you for any help , and a happy friday !

Can you get a loan of a LNB because it could be premature failure, also what about the receiver?

Good evening,Ghostleader
I will try another lnb...
I have checked other channels on the UK beam
,I cannot get the 3 Dave,Yesterday and drama ones, the tv5 europe breaks into big pixels, nobbc news or 4 HD ,BUT the SD bbc 1,2,3,4 come in fine 70%
and it all seems as if I had reverted to an 80cm dish when I have a 120 cm one... can an lnb work sort of "half strength?
i checked skew and height/ orientation everything looks sound and stable...

If your tuner module is "on the road out" you can get the same effects as a failing LNB, a LNB swap would rule out the LNB and save you money if it isn't that.

Out of curiosity, which130cm is it ? If by chance a Famaval (bought one from 2galli), 1st dish in France may be of interest. And got one i N as well, for both these, the last tweaks everywhere makes all the difference, lots of extra signal to squeeze out with the last mm adjustments and some perseverance.

And testing many lnb's to find whatever some dish 'likes' best. In my case on my specific dishes, my collection of Inverto's have always been beaten by other brands when dealing with very low signal levels.

I'm not clear.
You have a DiSEqC Astra19E + Hot Bird13E switch.
Do you also use it for Astra 28E?

If it is correct, put a double female and try only with Astra 28E.
If the switch is broken, it can join 2 satellites, the channels with similar data are crushed and do not work / pixelize.
In general, this changes the Astra28E level these weeks.
Very good white PE cable.
Conducteur :Cuivre Ø 1.13 mm ==> Cuivre Ø 1.25 mm Which is correct ?

No me quedo claro.

When I bought it,the buzz was Black Ultras were the ones to use for BBC UK beam reception,so was the buzz wrong?
Which one would you recommend now?

Based on reported experiences, including my own, maybe two or three years.
