Do not forget that Astra 2E is at 44.5 degrees now-20:42 local time and not 43.5E after N2YO
yes, it moved a little but IMHO less than 1.0 degree. I'd rather say 2E is now at 44.0E ;)

Tracking sites take time to update, can guarantee she'll be at 43.5E as proven by all the reception reports.

Well, I had to go 2 pulses eastwards to get to the maximum.

That's interesting, unless SES have decided to test her at at 44E? Guess there will be a TLE update Monday morning and we'll know a bit better exactly where she is.

I did also test with a 1.1 m dish and as you can see the signal can be received in this part of Europe.Surely 11710 H is on European spot;I think the rest are from the uk beam.

Signal in Tortosa on a 1.9M dish is comparable with the signal on 2F so hopefully the footprint, as predicted, is the same.

You'll have to wait until it moves to 28E to do that comparison. Right now it is 15º further east.

I expect they don't want the original delays to cause the prospective Operational date to become entangled with Winterval.

I expect they don't want the original delays to cause the prospective Operational date to become entangled with Winterval.

2 likely reasons:

1) The clock is ticking - Sky's epg freeze kicks in mid December and at that point no channel changes / frequency changes are permitted. Even if a channel goes bust its not removed from the epg until early January.

2) If SES want / need 1N back at 19E for the xmas holiday they HAVE to have 2F on station at 28E & fully operational asap .
