In Madrid, i am still receiving the same if not better than last night - even slightly better signal on BBC 1 HD and Cbeebies (my daughters will be happy)

i wonder if all the hype about loss of spot beam was a ploy by the installers to have as many new dishes fitted - as they knew after 2F lit up, you could receive it on a kitchen plate size dish? just a thought....

ALL stations are still on 1N, you should check 11023 only.

Cannot be black at the moment surely, for me it has been great since February 2012 (1N) but may be black when 2F takes over but for 9 months all good with a small dish in the Gandia area.
Bad choice of words but the area does suffer more than most - it used to be black in 2D days though - ie after 9pm!!!.

It's a2.4M Famaval with extension petals to bring it up to 3.1M
Like in my picture only not so bent!!!

This particular dish I would describe as OK not the worst but not the Best.
When it was 2D there would be about a 1db difference between a good & bad one. Some would break up at night others not.

Funnily enough 1N is better here at night than the day

The Famaval would always out perform the 2.4 Channel master

Those channels are on 1N. Only the BBC test transponder on 11023H is believed to be 2F.

if thats true i see 10% less signal then 1N ...but still receivable no probs ..wonder if this is the final signal or they will tweak the panels further to apply the spot beam over UK

i think they have switched it over since it test channels so they can play about with the signal ie decrease the the power so making it harder to get it in fringe areas.

the snr has dropped to 96-97% now for me but still miles better

Test transmissions on 11023H are comimg in perfectly, in fact BETTER (about 5%) than from 1N.
SS and SQ 90% to 100% on my Humax iCord boxes.

... and dishes are 45cm. Technisat Multytennes, one Quad and one Triplesat (no Hotbird version). Predictions were that at least 60cm would be needed here.

Those Multytennes are not half as bad as some pessimistic folk make out, but then again they've probably never tried one of course !

Colleague on the Norwegian satellite forum in Stavanger, Norway reporting same situation as me:
11023H 85cm dish: No signal. (Again, using Humax foxsat.)

It's also reported that the signal is very weak in Oslo, maybe 15dB weaker than 1N.
