All right, let's do some real measurements. SNR of 6.1 dB vs 11.2 dB for 11798H and 11720H, respectively.

Edit: that's with the 90cm dish.

This is what I get. Doesn't look like norma imagel artefacts to me - what's going on there? O.o
And the name is strange as well... SNRNEWv...?

wow, thats a big difference, 6.1 is near the threshold, isn't it? i certainly have a much smaller difference between the two. those are measured on a 90cm dish?
 
Not very helpful but [background=rgb(247, 247, 247)]12207 power is up much higher here tonight. Usually just lockable now with about 10% extra power[/background]

Checking those transponders on Humax PVR (don't have Sky):
11720H: 90% Strength 90% Quality
11798H: 90% Strength 40% Quality (!)
 
It gets weirder...

Edit: It's like there was some sort of noise on that transponder. It looks like it's 8PSK but it's not. I don't get it. With the 1.8m dish, the signal is not better at all.

not locked - crap signal now (maybe it doesn't like the dark nights)
 
In Toulouse SW France, on 90cm visiosat with inverto black quattro.

Absolutely nothing on 11023H this evening, but on Friday I was getting 80% signal and 60% quality. Something has changed...
 
Here in Berlin it looks like Alibi Hd , TCM HD and a few others have also gone...

Weak as usual here but works fine. No change in signal level.
 
just an idea...isnt it possible that for whatever reason the output power was decreased on 1N, and thats why we're experiencing signal loss on the edges? and its not because these tp's were moved to 2F...?
 
SNRNEWv at 120207, it seems is the same program as Sky News, but I have no idea what this transmission is supposed to be with such a picture and no sound...

In Iraklio/Crete 2 friends of mine have lock on 11798H:

Mabo 170x185cm at 7.6dB now.
Channel Master 3m at 9.8dB now.

Both use a Technotrend S2-1600 DVB-S2 card. The measurement is made with Crazyscan and EBS Pro. Both don't show any BER.

11798H at 7.9dB now, certainly down from 10-11dB it was previously...
