well, guys, its a bit too late to start worrying about "giving away too much"

11025H we have 8PSK modulation which is not helping.

Not a lot of difference between QPSK 5/6, and 8PSK 2/3. Less than 0.5dB in favour of the QPSK. 12480V = QPSK 2/3, a completely different kettle of fish, much easier.

After much consideration, we have decided to close this Thread as it has become fragmented and unwieldy - no reflection on Contributors, but clearly a consequence of our expectations not being met.

We'll consider the best way ahead and kick something new off quite soon.
