I can't see why that would be an issue, I would think either they are on a spot for a reason or they can now switch to a wider beam if they wanted.
Yes, they could go on PE without changing any of the other parameters.

seamless, my foot. won't really notice, also my foot.

As we've discussed on digitalfernsehen.de, why can't there just be Europe-wide pay tv... I and many others would gladly pay a certain amount every month to get Freesat. Rights holders are worried about TV content from other countries spoiling their profits in markets that that content isn't intended for. Well, that's easy to fix, just give us a reasonable monthly subscription price for Freesat and we will pay... and then broadcast it per Internet broadband, which would mean minimal overhead costs compared to satellite transmission.

I, for one, would much rather pay a bit more to have Freesat instead of some overpriced Sky Germany package where I probably wouldn't ever watch most of the channels anyway.

Seamless for those in UK ROI!!! The bbc dont give a monkeys about the Germans. When 2D went to 1N it was seamless for the Brits and noone in the Uk would notice any probs now if they did transfer tonight.

strong signal here in Madrid (80%), could it be PE beam testing?

Yes there is a signal on there but it is not DVB. And the transponder is not anywhere near wide enough to have a symbol rate of 27500.

Not PE beam for sure, I tested it this morning and nothing in Canary Islands, I could just about see the spike on spectrum very very low though,
Were in the footprint here for PE.

Signal report;
Costa Del Sol, 20Km east of Malaga. 36.812554 N -4.008826W

Satellite receiver Technimate TM1000-C1

Satellite finder meter MF-1900

Dish 1.3m offset octo LNB
Dish 2.4m prime focus Fortec Inverto quad Red Classic

Astra 1N on the 1.3m offset 11.4 dB
Astra 1N on the 2.4m prime focus 16.6 dB

Astra 2F test freq 11023 H 1.3m offset dish Nothing, no signal
Astra 2F test freq 11023H 2.4m prime focus Nothing, no signal

Bit disappointed, took some doing getting the big a baby up.
atb

If the dish is a petal dish throw it away.

If the dish is solid try adjusting it.

If that doesn’t work get a new LNB making sure it is designed for the type of dish you have. I would recommend an Invacom dual or quad. Some say the quad is better but I think they are confusing signal strength readings with quality.

It looks like the Costa del Sol now has the problems with 2F that the Costa Blanca had with 2D so put the following into google:

Astra 2D reception on Costa Blanca Advice

on digitalfernsehen.de, somebody in northern Bavaria just reported a signal on 11,940H and 12,140V. But apparently very narrow, quite faint and no picture.

As I said above it's not DVB. If you are checking this with a DVB receiver you are not going to see anything. But yes there is a signal and a pretty respectable one if Solly can receive it from Asia.

not respectable enough for my 80cm dish in central Germany, apparently... :-per I get zip on that frequency, not even using CrazyScan.

Yes, or maybe less. 1.8m is endstop in Mazarron so I don't know why people in Granada can't get it, but that their dishes are too small. Time will tell though because until it goes a lot of people are oblivious to what is happening.
