Something is going on this evening. 8901/8911 strength and, more so, quality dropping by 10% or so and then back again; almost in a 30 seconds up/down roller-coaster! Its never done that before. Weather clear, unchanged. Plenty of signal over, image and sound perfect still but worrying if they are "twiddling the knobs" and continue to do so.

Location Eindhoven S.Holland, theoretically 60cm on the published footprint but on 45cm Multytenne dishes.

I'm just not sure it would make sense for Sky, IF they are looking to move their channels onto the new satellite(s), to put their content on the PE beam... what for? It's British TV for Brits, and you need a Sky box for it, which you are only supposed to have if you are living in Britain... so what would their stuff be doing on a pan-european beam?

Surely if they really want to move their channels to begin with, it will be onto the 2F spot beam...

Sky will leave their pay channels on a euro beam for expats living abroad, they know they watch/subscribe to it and they make a lot from it, it`s only really the uk free to air stuff thats likely to go over to a uk beam (think bbc, itv and the likes)

I'm also seeing the worst signal level at the moment since Friday, round about 40% SNR at the moment, occasional pixelation.

11023H seems to be on the rise again, now at 45-46% ...

10994H is weaker than usual, picture breaking up badly. but its not the only one...most of the weak tp's seem weaker right now. there is a signal drop at this time of the day, thats normal on the edges. it can be worse in the rain, but weather conditions aren't bad tonight

Right got the bloody things back again at 48-49% SNR....starting to get a headache now and might stop all this for the day. Weather may simply be to blame here unless they temporarily decided to spill more signal into the Atlantic off Ireland OR this will be fringe reception for Western Germany....

EDIT: anybody in the UK have an update on 10994H? It's been romoured to a666lso have moved already... poor reception in extreme fringe areas today, similar to 11798, with a bunch of ITV1 regionals on it...

in Maranello NE Italy i'm getting both those tp's with>80% quality (I know you asked for uk).

Still no sniff of 11023 since breif lock Sunday morning.

If you mean the ITV regionals scanned them comming in loud and clear S85 Q 100 central southern norway, hummy 2000hd 120cm offset, 0.3lnb, heavy fog.

As Blackadder once said "up and down like a whore`s drawers". By the way earlier on today I got my son to hold the lnb arm slightly up and the signal went from 42% SNR non receivable to 57% SNR with a good picture. We`ve decided to leave hiim out there for more pocket money... he`ll be alright.

yes, i mean the itv1 regionals. picture almost gone now, same as channel 5 (10965H)...along with 10921H, 11053H, 10891H

these are more or less the weakest links for us here...but during these months, in these weather conditions, usually they're much better.

99% here on the Duo, considerably higher than the other ITV's

10758V 80%
10832H 90%
10891H 89%
10906V 88%
10994H 99%
11053H 99%

The C5s on 10964H are also at 99%

According to inuyasha from DF, there is a new channel named SNRNEW on 12207V, 27500 but only pixellated despite good signal.

11798H is definitely a lot weaker than let's say, 11720H. They both work fine with my 90cm dish though. Perhaps 11798H is on the 2F PE beam now? Seems like it.

however...if 10994H had moved, its a totally different ballgame than 11023H. if i had 2-3% more, i'd have a pretty watchable picture (150 gibertini). 11023H had no life signs even with a 240 andrews at the same location

Have tuned it in here; no picture (also no "No or Bad Signal" error). Signal strength is the same as usual for that transponder on 2A South.

There's also a channel "8039" which is Sky News.

Firenze, Italy.
Still all loud and clear as usual. Too good to be true if they had already been passed on to 2F!
I could only check the DVB-S transponders.

Probably SkyNewsRadio, incorrectly mapped to a video stream. Its pixellated a s its running at a hideously low 250 kbps video stream!

Edit - the video stream is from Sky News.

on my sky box (no numeric SNR, unfortunately), 11720H (MTV Live HD) does appear marginally higher on both signal and quality, compared to 11798H (Sky Living HD)
