Astra 2F: Iberia & Balearics Discussion

Hi everyone,

I registered here to let you know my reception status. I live in Mataró, some 20 kms. north of Barcelona. I have a 1 meter dish, no idea about lnb, though (I can tryto find out)... I just lost reception of 4HD, 4seven and all the Channel 5 related channels. Everything else is still good.

Where did you get the 180cm report for Lisbon?
I just saw somewhere else a report of 130m for Coimbra that is 175km north of Lisbon.
Also a report for 110cm for Oporto for all the transponders moved yesterday with the exception of 11023H that still requires 180cm dish.
But for Lisbon I have not seen any positive report :(
Pedro, with your meter can you see any c/n or envelope shape on the
Channel 4 vertical transponder where you are?

It is now a little bit weaker than my reception report 6 hours ago.

Hugh

Oops - my mistake on the Lisbon report - the pin has now been corrected - think that one is kota's report from a few posts up.

If anyone spots any obvious errors please point them out.

It's beginning to look a lot like the Barcelona area is in a blind spot on the beam.
Baligale's experience is similar to mine and would suggest that even if I had a larger dish I wouldn't be any better off. My own "satellite-installer-guy" (also in Barcelona) just told me that he has no signal (no idea of setup) on the same transponders.
My parents live 200km due north of Barcelona and are receiving fine with a Humax Foxsat HDR and a 60cm dish. They are at 43.52ºN 2.83ºE.

Damn it :(

Yes, there is a BBC HD transmission still on Astra 1N (10847 V), that's what you'll be getting.

According to one or two spanish reports that is not the case , also reports from South Eastern France are positive on 60cm dish , somethingseems odd there. Also on the old thread for 11023h there were positive 80cm resports from Barcelona.
