Astra 2F Operational: Signal Reports Only

New Thread in anticipation of 2F transmitting in anger.

Temporarily Locked until the time comes.



SES-Astra have released a report today 21 Nov 2012 saying it's on station and operational, but this does not seem to be borne out by independent reports as yet.

Ah yes this report:

SES S.A. (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announced today that the ASTRA 2F satellite has successfully completed its in-orbit testing and is now fully operational and in commercial service at the orbital neighborhood of 28.2/28.5 degrees East.

Which means shes ready to go, and will be powered up any time now. Id guess we should see the first channel change satellite in the next few days

We expect the changeover from 1N to 2F to take place during the period 23-26 Nov.

Consistent reports of Test on 11023 H 23000 2/3 DVB S2 8PSK: likely to be 2F.
