As promised, now Open for use.

No Transition from 1N to 2F yet, but clearly it's imminent.

Speculation to remain in the existing Hot Thread, please.

Otherwise - carry on!

Hello Nijera,
You need to look at the 2f frequency they have not switched over yet.BBC hd is transmitting and here in naples it is comming in 6 bd lower than off a 2 meter dish.
We have determined that it will take a 4 meter dish to receive 2F when it becomes active.

you will Need something bigger than 5 meter in your part of africa.

Ralph, he's in the Netherlands, not Africa!

He'll be able to get 2F on wet string.

No change in quality readings this morning of the 57 transponders in the 10700 to 11200 & 11700 to 12500 part of the Ku band here @ 28.2 east.

I do wonder why it has taken nearly 9 weeks since the launch on 28th Sept to get this bird into full service ?
Eutelsat have stated that Eutelsat 21B launched on 10th Nov will aim to be in active service at 21.6 east by 15th of Dec nearly half the time that it has taken SES.

Well the reasonably reliable "insider" info we got yesterday (buried somewhere in the main Thread) stated "DTH Problem", not "Bird Issue": Could still mean anything!

Location - Savoie, French Alpes 45.6°N 6.8°E. Old Sky 60cm dish - actual size approx 60x70cm.

Good signal on 11023H channels 8901 & 8911. Same strength as the channels on Euletsat 28A, but about 20%-30% down vs the other Astra satellites.

The air is very cold and still over the UK atm - might be helping the uplinks a little.

As per the expectation the 4 transponders mentioned for move last night (10964/10994/11053/11126 have weaker signals here, Grasse south of France, compared to yesterday. Signal strength is comparable to that for the test transfer a couple of weeks ago and 8911 reception. So still strong enough to watch on 85cm dish in good conditions.

VU+ showing 80% AGC (signal strength) and 85% SNR (signal quality) on all apart from 8901 8911 where I get 76% AGC and 83% SNR here in Frankfurt. Adjusted dish and put new LNB on yesterday :-rub ........ mystified why the SKY HD EPG still doesnt have BBC1 Wales HD. The SKY epg is showing the correct transponder information eg Channel 5 shows a transport stream of 0809 which according to my calculations is 2057, therefore transponder 57 .....SKY box shows 100% SQ and 100% SS on all these transferred channels/transponders.

By the way its snowing too.

Not possible, because with 150cm i have to switch the position from the antenna into my garden... and there i havent enough free view to receive all satellites as actual i do (from 45°W-70°5E)
