He's in Italy & can get this with a 100 to 150cm dish.

So far from the reports received the 5B footprint is very tight on the West side towards the UK.

I managed to lock 12402 and 12480 today after straightening out and realigning my 90cm Fibo. 11954 and 11973 are reading 9dB but getting no lock...

Only one transponder now after further channel migration last night,

Pro TV International on 11934 V DVB-S2/8PSK MPEG-4 30000 2/3

Very weak signals here now swapped over from TM6900HD to TM5402HD M1 slightly better lock but all gone after an hour so will try again later.

TM5302HD just about locking onto this transmission now other receivers not so good,
Watch able on TM5302Hd with breaks in transmission I think the 100cm is just a bit too small for this transmission now looks like a 120cm needed if you want to watch these transmissions.

Or go to 13 east 11200 V 27500 for 45 to 60 cm dish.

Kazakh TV that was on Astra 5B = no signal now 11758 H DVB-S/MPEG-2 DVB-S/MPEG-4 27500 3/4 the only channel that I have lost is Perviy Muzykalnyi Telekanal so i will have to make do with what I have

There is an alternative for Kazakh TV@ 36 east 12511 H DVB-S/MPEG-2 4340 1/2 for 90cm dish here.

But alas no alternative for Perviy Muzykalnyi Telekanal

So unless things improve at sundown that will be the end of 31.5 east on 100cm dish here in the East of England thanks to the new tight footprint satellites.

I am now getting those 7 tp's which are V 30000. Wasn't getting anything earlier this evening and before that just 11758 and 11934. Signals around 8dB to 8.7 strongest 12324. 100 channels but only one FTA, ProTV Int.

I've scanned Astra 5B and as expected strong signal on all frequencies.

Finally COB and ephemeris is available for Astra 5B. The SES constellation is now as follows:
31.55° E : Astra 5B (2014)
31.45° E : Astra 1G (1997)
31.33° E : Astra 2B (2000)
31.22° E : Astra 1E (1995, inclined 3.4°)

Journey will take about a month as it looks now.
