They are going to run out of orbital slots to stick their satellites in at this rate of expansion...

So I will do another scan of 7w in a while (weather seems much better tonight) so will see what I can get :)

Thats why the operastors are starting to double up on slot utilisation with non overlapping spot beams and frequency reuse. By the time 2E 2F & 2G at 28E are fully operational 28E will be serving:

UK/Ireland/north-western Europe
Nigeria/western Africa
Russia
Middle East

Ok the vu+ duo doing it's own scan found 582 services (not all of those were channels).

I have just manually gone through and scanned all AB7 frequency's and I have 639 channels (not services) scanned in.

managed to get not a lock but some signal on 10892h and 10930h but the picture just breaks up with it being right on the threshold of my receiver vantage x221ci, inverto black ultra lnb, dish is 90cm channel master atm, I do have 1.2m which i guess would pull more signal in.

I know I'm probably pi**ing in the wind with this one and will no doubt get laughed off the screen, but any chance getting any sign AB7 with my 60cm dish?? I know even if I can it will be about as stable as a Greek pension fund, but just like to know, I can get 8w when I looked last night and can watch channels on the Nordic beam on 4.8e just wondered if this new bird was powerful enough to get a glimpse, if so what's the strongest TP to check out?

Unlikely, but worth a try anyway, I used to watch 13e, 19e, 7e and occasionally 4.8e on my old minidish.

One of the strongest transponders for me is 12245 V 3/4 27500, but even last night when it wasn't windy or raining, and the sky's were pretty clear I wasn't getting above 60% signal on there with my 1.2m channel master.

I am getting a number of channels on the Penta 85 from AB7 with relatively good signal strength (comparable to Astra 4's Nordic beam), so I think you may catch a couple of TPs on a 60cm.

Oh, yeah... forgot the location. I am further down south, so 60cm is probably out of the question in Staffs.

Thought it might be a tall order for my little 60cm, if it stays clear tonight i will have a go with Cokeaddict's 12245 V 3/4 27500. see if I can get any sign of faint life..
Since moving house I've been using a modified Zone 2 dish with a motor mounted to a slab in the Garden, mainly for 19e & 13e but have been truly amazed at how many different Birds I've been able to find in my limited view of the Arc (28e - 12w) looking to move it ont the Garage roof this weekend to hopefully get maybe 30e - 40+w
I'd love one of your 1.5m dishes but when I suggested having one of those in the garden my Mrs threatened to use my balls as an offset Lnb if i did..
