A nice display this evening taking place right at the moment.

We have seen orange in the west and green on the north, several faint "searchlights rays" and maybe just a hint of rippling curtains :)

Probably visible in northern England if its dark enough.
 
Nothing visble this far south AS ...
but then we suffer exteme light pollution anyway.
Enjoy the light show mate ..
get some pics if possible.

May be some pics, but they wont be anything spectacular. Will pull them off the camera tomorrow.
 
A bit blurred, but with no tripod it was resting on the car roof!a1.webp


Edit - nowhere near long enough exposure to bring out the details but trying to hold the damn thing steady even on a 10 second exposure whilst not breathing too much so the lens didnt fog up was hard going!

Thanks for the feedback on the Auroral Activity I will check it out next week when the streel lights are switched off in a cost saving measure in my location hopefully I may see something :)
 
Newcastle and Gateshead are too darned bright to see the northern lights, cos all I see is sodium orange as I always do in the northern sky...
 
Somebody saw activity in Jersey, so theres hope yet.

Apparently this is likely to carry on into much of the weekend.
