Automatic Install Using Blue Panel

I normally use the Neutrino image and it works fine for me (as it came with cams/keys installed). I wanted to try out Gemini 2.70 just to see how it is. I've tried installing via the blue panel but cant seem to get it. Here are the steps I'm taking, can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong:

BluePanel -> Addons -> Download and install

Then I installed the following:

cam/Newcamd v6.07 -Complete
cam-config/Nercamd Config v6.0x Betad
keys/NewcamdKeys 24.01.06

Once all three are installed, I rebooted the dreambox, went to blue panel and switched to newcamd. Newcamd then started but I got nothing. I've also tried this method for camX

cam/Camx 24.01.06
cam-config/CamX 11.12.05 Config
keys/CamX Keys 24.01.06


Again, I restarted the box, switched to CamX and got nothing. Anyone see where I'm going wrong here?
 
I am using Gemini 2.6 MaxVar and i did the same procedures with you.
Even though i see the cam names in the dropdown list i have no decryption.
After reading the posts i got more confused.

Isn't installation with the blue panel supposed to work without manually editing anything ? So why does the Idiot guide suggest editing conf files by hand after the end ?

Which emu-config-ke*ys combinations are valid for a chosen system eg newcamd? I cannot understand :(. Are some specific Gemini image versions incompatible with emu's ?

Anyway i will still continue trying. Oh yes this is baptism by fire ...
 
you could try updateing the k*ys with todays mach1 dreambox files
 
hi m8, you need the latest keys, place then in a folder on your desk top
and ftp them to the gemini, under var.

I think Gemini 2.7 is not quite stable- there us a thread from last week. Try camd3, or Gemini 2.6.

and make sure the cam (newcamd or camd3) is started.

keys go in var/keys or var/scce depending upon the emu you are using.
 
I am not too sure what image is on on my box, I think it is Gemini 2.6, and other than using the script to update the TPS keys I haven't updated them for a while.

It seems the best one to use at this moment is CAMD3 8.33, and get the keys from one of the good places. I get mine from the IHAD site, but others are good as well. Normally the blue button key updating works ok, but once in a while they are not up to date, so do a quick manual FTP update.
 
Well i use now camd3 8.33 as T_G says and it works ok for the normal encrypted channels (viaccess1 irdeto1 etc). Newcamd doesnt work - i will definately try another newcamd ke*s-cam-config combo to see if it goes right.


Looking forward to make other cams work for things such as nagra ...
 
I have used camd3 in the past, with success. Use the AES auto updater and test against Mult**** on 13E. It of course depends on how recent the keys were updated, MU**** updates every day
