That's design, I would guess looking at Astra 19.2, or perhaps even 13 East for Polish TV.

Yeah, I guess that the dish was looking more perpendicularly from the wall for its original satellite.

That's almost certainly a recent installation for that sat Paul, the bracket is brand new, so the dish has been "modified" to suit the azimuth. given that they've bought the wrong bracket.

what's really sad is that this wasn't the house I was working on, just that I am magnetically drawn to these things and saw it as I was driving along the street.:)

Nowt wrong with dishes mounted on wooden poles - all of mine are although they are quite a bit lower than that breathtaking example of bodgery!

I have some better ones than that :D

Installed by a supposed professional company based in Bristol, one of the big boys in the industry apparently :-lmao

I had the pleasure of getting the service call on these ones when i worked for them. I ended up totally reinstalling the complete system on both blocks using more appropriate equipment that the stuff that was installed.

The second picture shows a cabinet that was just left standing on its side as the morons that cabled the building didn't have the sense to use two smaller cabs instead of one that they did use that was too big to attach to the small separating wall. Nice one Carl and Dave :-doh!

I ended up using two 18" Ks to hold the cab off the floor and was left with no alternative than to extend about 50 cables with the joins inside a smaller size 2 cab to allow the cables to come in at the bottom of the larger cab, It would have meant a complete rewire of the building if the cables weren't extended which there was no way my manager would have authorized it.

The forth picture was a dish that i saw one day when i was stuck on the A40 in a traffic jam. Made me chuckle anyway :D

I no longer work for the aforementioned company. Hopefully it will go under in the near future and the world will be rid of the shi*e they have the nerve to pass off as IRS systems :-righton

Here's a the A-typical lazy sky installer, and a couple of aerial installs I went to sort out where they had the " Not getting the ladders off the van" days.

Especially when the brackets cost a bout a pound each. Like the last pic pointing into the tree.

Here are some bad installations from over the Christmas period.

First image someone has decided to reinforce a mast by using a standard wall bracket bolted to the corner of the chimney, results are obvious.

Second image is another large aerial rig which was installed using a standard wall bracket bolted to a chimney, never a great idea.

Third image, what happens when you put a big aerial rig or large dish on a chimney which is incapable of supporting it.
