Yup as Lazarus says Badr 5 is not possible in the UK. In fact 26E is more or less a washout these days - you might get a few frequencies from Badr 4 but thats about it with any sensible sized dish.

What frequencies are you hoping to receive from Badr5?

It might be possible to receive some on the frequencies from Badr5 from the UK with a large dish but not the Central Asia ones.
The last time I scanned this satellite some time ago I managed to lock a couple of frequencies with a 2.0m dish.
I think the signal footprint beam might lessen the further north you go in the UK so you would need a fairly large dish to have any hope.

The table showing my scan result for Badr5 is attached below, this was from a location in Surrey.

12284V 27500 is MBC frequency, this is possible even here in Finland with 3m
11919H is Badr4. I guess 8psk fec 5/6 most people can't receive it

Both Flysat and Lyngsat currently have 11919H listed for Badr5 on a MENA beam.
It used to be the one of the beOutQ frequencies but they stopped transmitting some time ago and it seems to have been taken over by another broadcaster.

11919H is Bard4 frequency, MBC package used to be here couple years ago. 11919H currently 9.8db here, Bard 5 Mena has never worked in Finland, so it's unlikely Badr5

Flysat & Lyngsat both showing incorrect details.

The chart below show 11919 H is still on Badr-4 ?
As the graph below shows the signal is much weaker as with all the Badr-5,6 & 7 transponders at my location with my 100cm set up,
So they may have reduce the power on 11919H if this transponder is still on Badr-4 ?

I have no signal in 11919 H. Never received anything else than Badr-4 at my location. Some are weaker than others, some no signal at all. In case of using DVB-S2/8PSK and or lower FEC's that's logical.
What I don't get is that for some frequencies I have to move the dish.
F.e. between 12034 H and 12523 V.
In my opinion that would indicate they are not from the same satellite.
If figures in kingofsat are correct, the four Badr satellites are max 0.04° apart from eachother. The Es'hail satellites are 0.4/0.5° further west. Maybe some signals are coming from one of them?

Just my complete scan in 11.7 to 12.5GHz range from position 26.0°E and signal 11919 H. Also attached WA beam: 12283 V and 12303 H. Nothing from CA beam at my place with my setup (2.2m).
