SATELLITE DISH 1.5 metres | eBay

1.5m PF may be ok once the moss (I don't think it's rust) is removed and an ali offset 1.2m? with weathered polar mount. Clacton-on-sea
I'm fairly certain that the "PF" is really an offset, namely a Swedish MicroWave (SMW) OA-1400. @RimaNTSS can verify, he has several. As the dish is ABS plastic (as in LEGO bricks), the moss-like stuff is certainly moss.
The "offset" looks very much like a Sky-master 1.5 (could be 1.2) dish from the late 80's or early 90's - and would therefore be a fibreglass dish. All Skymaster mounts I have ever seen are VERY rusty...
Not sure if there is any real value here at all?

Sten, you are right it is certainly SMW OA-1400..... something in the middle between PFA and real offset. It has 13* offset angle, but LNB is making shed on the surface of the dish. Opening angle of this dish is 112*, so if there is no original feedhorn, than it is better to use LNB designed for PFA. I still have one of such dishes left..,. it is actually laying around in the yard and participating in photo-sessions just as a background decoration.

Well, I didn't intend to but I ended up buying the dish. After I made the enquiry the seller came back and asked if I was still interested. And we agreed on £20.

When I picked it up this afternoon I found out that the guy was a satellite installer and the dish was one that he had installed for a customer. The customer had it up for a very short while and then asked for it to be taken down because he thought it was ugly! I think that toroidal dishes are things of beauty. A combination of maths and art.

We picked the dish up after being out for half the day. I didn't tell SWMBO about this until we were just about to leave just in case she decided to remove my manparts. To be fair she took it all quite well and even agreed that looked quite nice.

I don't know what or where I'll use it though. Maybe put it to one side for a future project?

Dont worry i have just bought a 60 inch Samsung, yesterday a Golden XPEED LX2 and on Monday I am picking up a 1.2m Channel Master from Stoke

I have spent the last week researching the TBS6903

Its mad this 'hobby'

Oh and just for good luck I am wracking my brains working out how I am going to install the big dish I will eventually buy on a terraced house

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
@PaulR
If nothing else, flog it on the forum - sure you won't be out of pocket, as some people would probably bite your hand off for that dish with those LNBs for a "reasonable" price.

Nice dish. Mine's still delivering with only a little rust...
did you get the mounting pole as well? The bracket needs a 42mm pole size, which is not that common. The triangular mounting pole (optional accessory) is quite useful if avaulable.

Is this 55 cm version or 90? The 90 one takes 60mm pole size - at least mine does - but I know there are two version of this.

Sorry, that's me looking at gumtree on the phone == very small pictures.
On a proper browser, I can now see that it's not a T55 but rather the T90.
60mm tube it is, then.
On the (now larger) picture I can also see that the pictured installation does not use the WaveFrontier mount, but rather an L-mount.
So never mind the comment on the WaveFrontier one :)

As already posted, it's the 90. I really wouldn't have bothered with a smaller one.

The mounting tube on the dish has a couple of smaller sized tube inside to reduce the size of mounting tube needed!

The triangular mounting pole (optional accessory) is quite useful if avaulable.
Hmmm, I'll have to take a look to see if I can see anything that matches that description.

I can see that my description isn't really very precise.
What I mean was the wall bracket, which has support arms arrange in a triangular fashion.
As pictured (randomly taken from internet), and as can be seen in a T90 pack (marked in red).

@PaulR I just randomly picket this up IMG_20170618_223819 (Large).jpg from the stuff in the garage. Pipe diameter is 50mm. If you need that, you can have it for a price of mail.

There was no wall bracket with the dish. I hadn't rally thought that far ahead. Rima - any idea what postage might cost? Possibly to France in six week's time if that's any cheaper.

Have no idea. Perhaps 10-15 EUR, and time of shipping about 1 week.

I think if you wish to have it later it would be more expensive. If you wish to receive it in tree weeks than I should mail it after 10 days. W can go PM to discuss details.

Don't mean to interrupt RimaNTSS clearing out his storage, but I just wanted to point out that the real 60mm thing can be had at HM sat shop for 27 EUR including postage to the UK...

I bought a pole on ebay and stuck it in the ground with concrete. Could be used with any tk brackets as well.
