Brand new Jaeger 1224 H-H motor in what looks to be superb condition.
Starting bid at £1.00p.

Jaeger 1224 H-H Polar Mount | eBay

This should get some serious interest, the picture detectives and half the forum will be all over this.
Get bidding men, this is a very rare opportunity to grab a brand new Jaeger 1224 H-H motor including the Channel Master/Irte plate

I actually doubt it will go at all due to reserve price, which is likely to be not very realistic.

If I recally correctly brand new and boxed units were selling for somewhere in the region of £300 to £400 on eBay. The rarity value of brand new and boxed adds considerably to the price.

If we were to take guesses on the eBay sale price for this one from Sheffield in £25 segments I would opt for the £326 to £350 band if the auction runs to completion.

Anything over £200 for a 1224 is, in my eyes, expensive. Over £300 is just ridiculous. I paid no more than £130 for any of mine and all came with quality dishes... Granted they weren't new but fully functional with light TLC.

That said, an item is worth as much as one is willing to pay for it, so watch that space.

Worth keeping an eye on just out of interest. Personally, I found the 1224 not very good on my Primesat 1.8, way too much play in the wind. Anything over a 1.5m is pushing it, just my opinion...

1224 was absolutely fine on my 1.5m Gibby at my old place - but it was very sheltered from the winds (with a limited arc!) and I had no issues driving it. I'd say in a sheltered location it would be OK driving something like a 1.8m Laminas but it flopped around quite a lot for me in the winds - but it's the total opposite here - very exposed to the westerlies.

Generally, 1224 is perfect for anything up to 1.2m in any location but would you really pay over 200 squids for that?

I tried buying that 1224 before, it was advertised on Gumtree from memory it was in Scotland. When I contacted the bloke he said I could have if this person did not turn up. It was for sale for 100 pounds. Unfortunately someone turned up for it.

I'm awaiting an image of the dish its going to be matched to so I can filter out a kilo of bracketry to supply suitable items.
