Not sure if this constitutes a bargain or not, but HiSat in Harlech, Gwynedd, have over a dozen 1m Gibertin1 Aluminum dishes for £85 each delivered.

NB: next to the "Quantity" box, it states "14 lots available (2 items per lot) " - looks like it might be a BOGOF deal, but actually means that you may get ONE dish pack set delivered in either ONE box or TWO boxes according to where you live!:D

PS there are also a number of other new and s/h Gibertinis in various sizes here (including the HiSat one)

Order one and see if the BOGOF is legit.

TJExcalibur and others bought kit previously only to find their aftermarket and warranty service wasn't worth the electronic paper it was written on.

In the latest Reichelt mail order catalogue they have Gibertini dishes.

Actually, I did sent a question to Hisat to ask just what meant by what I quoted in post 1401 before I made that post, i.e. BOGOF or not ? I got a reply that confirmed that this is not a BOGOF deal, and that the listing will be updated to clarify that point.

Not sure what you meant about "TJExcabiliber and others" - did you meant that they had bought stuff from Hisat but that the latter had not honoured the warrantee conditions that it states in that listing?

Reichelt catalogue is here - some Gibertini dishes but nothing larger than 85cm

Checking the auction, the dish is a six bolt reflector design (ala the XP and SE ranges) but with a plastic LNB holder (ala the LN)

So it looks like a discontinued product, or a mix and match with the two boxes, not sure if Reichelt could sell a similar item and warranty it

Could be so because this is the seller's response to my initial query on the listing
"the dish face is supplied to me seperate from the rest of the parts - dependent on were you are and which carrier I use I either repacage into one box or send as two boxes (or 2 items per one complete dish with az/el /lot)"

OK, given that, does the listing still stack up "bargain wise"?

And can you remember the situation regarding "TJExcaliber and others"?

Hisat was closing their doors two years ago and getting shot of the same dish then, for £65.

TJ got a ten year old motor from him - sold as new - which went wrong inside the warranty around the same time. It's been a while since he has been on the forum.

Ah, so not really a "bargain" and kinda explains the seller's online name (see Listing) and so treat everything from him with "caution" - OTOH, no motor (etc.) to go wrong in this case, and the only real issue would probably be whether a dish set arrived complete and undamaged, or not.

The motor I bought after TJ is even older!

Earlier in this thread, and on the stripdown of the HH120

the interior PCB has a date of 05/09 on it, so the supplied motors are about the same age as my daughter.

The 1m auctioned is still a strange one though, Gibertini promoted the 'L' series with four bolts in 2012, with only the X series supplied as a six bolt

no metal feedhorn in the bundle though.

You have the 1.2m which, like the 1.5 shares nothing with their range of smaller antennas.

Do you have/can you point to the relevant specs for the big ones?
(I'm sure quite a number of people would be interested to see it - unless of course that's effectively what RolfW posted on the forum some years ago, and of which I have now created a WORD/pdf document. Thought I had posted that in this thread, but apparently not, and so will do so here tomorrow anyway).

I irecall installing a 1.2m for you, care to try again ?
The 1.2m seems to be working quite well, so why as I don't need/want one of the 1m ones??

I had been asking for the auction number that you bid on (Vincent ?)

Those specifications are for the integrated Gibertini feed version, knock off 0.3dB across the band for the standard dish with generic LNBF.

There are now two versions on the Gibertini site, L and LP.
