That is the first time I've seen realistic pricing from Wyzcom.

Reinstalling a 1244 to perform to specification is not an easy task to get right.

I have bought several dishes from Tony in the last few years and have been very happy with his professional approach to the transactions.
I can recommend Wyzcom as a reliable and trustworthy seller

Parts that might have been prone to damage in transit such as feed support arms were securely taped to decent lengths of wood to prevent bending. Smaller items such as feed assemblies, LNB's etc were individually wrapped then all placed in sealed boxes to minimise the risk of loss in transit.

Also, you can talk price with Tony, for the purchases I made we discussed pricing and a reduction from the original asking price was achieved.

Lastly, if anyone was interested in purchasing the Prodelin 1244 dishes I can provide the name of the transporter I have used several times in the past when getting dishes sent from Belfast to the Southern UK.

Not second hand, but the seller claims this is 'low cost'.

The reflector (and king post) look suspiciously like the one I have at the back of the lockup, which I believed was good for Ku band only.
Perhaps the cassegrain front end improves rigidity.

Looks like a Suncom/Probecom 3.0m dish to me.

The price from a quote I recently obtained for the fixed dish dual Rx C-Band version was $2350 USD plus $410 USD freight to Felixstowe from China.
Dual Rx Ku-Band version slightly more expensive.

Dual axis motorisation options also available.

hi guys i know probaly a very long shot but would anyone have a polarmount for a channel master 1.8m offset dish?any help truly appreciated cheers.

or would any polarmount from a offset dish do the job?,also polarmount has to be strong and robust as its a heavey dish the fibre glass cm 1.8m.

Stick a request in the 'wanted' section, you might strike lucky.

There have been a couple of the early 1.8-2.4m offset dishes on this thread before now, whose ironmongery would take less modification than say a prime focus design if you take a risk and are prepared to pay for the carriage.

How good is your welding technique ?

Whilst it is designed for a wide range of prime focus reflectors, once an adapter is built that fits the front end the following quality polarmount would easily cope with the weight of a 1.8m Channel Master.

hi channel hopper i actually have that irte polarmount here on a 1.2m irte dish i know longer use, when you say a adaptor built that fits the front end can you give me more info please.
do you mean i would need to extend the declination on the irte mount for it to work with my cm 1.8m offset dish.

Nothing more, though I would advise on a counterweight to reduce the current required to drive the motor at low angle satellites

To modify an irte polar mount to accept another make of dish you need to fabricate a metal frame that can fit onto the irte polar mount and also act as a frame for the other dish type to be bolted on to. The metal frame acts as an interface between the irte polar mount and the non irte dish.

Some time ago I created a simple frame from some steel box section to mount a Precision satellite dish onto an irte polar mount. Normally, it would not be possible to bolt a Precision dish onto an irte polar mount as the mounting fixings are different. The frame I created out of steel box section acted as an interface between the satellite dish and the irte polar mount.

I also made a modification to the declination adjustment to allow for a fine tune threaded rod adjustment to the declination. I have attached some pictures of the frame construction and declination modification below.

In theory, you could create a similar type of frame to bolt a 1.8m chanel master dish onto an irte polar mount but with 4 appropriately distributed bolt holes for securing the dish.
I am not sure how well the modifications would work for a channel master 1.8m dish. If you can source an original polar mount for the channel master I would recommend that as the way to go.
The bearings on the irte polar mount version that I did the modification on were moderate quality and I was not impressed with them.

He needs to increase the range of the declination angle to match the offset of the dish.

This would not help in this situation as you need to have an extended declination adjustment of 108mm.
