Barry Allen Problem

Vu+ Duo with 1TB HDD, Vu+ Solo with 500GB HDD, Dm7025 with 80GB HDD & 1m Triax
Advent 9415 lappy

Hi peeps..

I got barry allen installed on my Dreambox last night.. i also put 4 different images onto a USB stick via FlashWizard.. I got FlashWizard to recognize the USB stick but can not get the dreambox & BarryAllen to see if..

When i open BarryAllen and go to "BA filesystem-check" The option is there for USB but when i open that i get an error..

Error : Umount failed. Can NOT do Filesystemcheck

Any help would be greatly appreicated..

You need to decide which you want to use for multiboot, Barry Allen or Flashwizard ?
You don't need both.
 
I would prefer to use Barry Allen

Can you help please.. ??

First what box do you have and what flash image is in it ?
 
DM7020 and nabilo darkstar 2..

I would load a cvs image to the flash, the one by boxman earlier this year would be fine.
Then install barry allen, ftp to tmp and then install with telnet command.

You need version 5.0.17 powerpc.ipk

Install Barry Allen by entering the
following commands in a Telnet session:

cd /
ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk

Or you can use DCC, go to tools ipk packages and then upload.
Once installed reboot and check to see if you have barry allen in the plugin menu.
 
Hi Sonic..

I have done this both ways as your directions above.. The only thing i did not do was flash the Boxman image as i dont want to loose all the settings i already have..

After doing this both ways.. it still does not show up in the yellow button panel...

This is what i get after the reboot and log back into DCC > Tools > IPKG Packages

Install IPKG Package:
Copy source file...
Transfer finished.
Install...
done.

Sorry.. I found it in Yellow Button > Itsy Package

What di i do next please.. ?
 
After it has installed, reboot and you should see Barry Allen in your plugin menu ?
 
Guys a simple piece of advice from me. If you're using Barry Allen then use a 'Pure Flash' image from nabilosat. It makes life sooooo easy !

No such thing as pure flash for DM7020 m8 :-DOH2
 
ok.. i went into the itsy package management system and deleted the barryallen from there..

I then went back to telenet and typed the above command prompt that sonic gave

cd /
ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk

and this is what i get in telenet now..

aah, sorry that's my Enigma2 one track mind kicking in there again.
 
when you install via the telnet command make sure you type the file name exactly as it is spelt so replace * with the version name.

ok.. i think i have barry allen installed on my usb..

How do i access my usb now to utilize the barry allen.. ???
 
ok.. new update..

I have found the barry allen file in ftp..

Its unders usr>lib>tuxbox>plugins

The 2 files that are there are :

barryallen cfg
barryallen so

Can someone please tell me if this is correct.. ???

Also.. if it is correct.. why do i not have Barry Allen in my Yellow button menu.. ???
