BBC 1 HD on test

BBC 1 HD is currently on test. Earlier today was simulcasting with BBC 1, but now showing HD promo.

Has now and next info

10847 V
22000
SID 6941
PMT-PID 260

Alas, not sure of Vid or Audio PIDs

I did a blind scan @ 10847 and my Cuberevo found it labelled 6941 but doesn't show what VID or Audio PID it found.
 
There's also 6945 on that TP showing BBC1 HD related programming.

Good find - we can watch it a few days early!

Edit: 6945 = The existing BBC HD, so is a glitch on my Foxsat, as it also found the properly labelled BBC HD as well, on the same non-Freesat TP scan.

Second Edit: Actually BBC HD is 6490, so there are three HD bits and bobs there!

Can't show PIDs on the Foxsat, I'm afraid.

The 6945 label is just mapped to the BBC HD channel pids - its not a separate stream. Both have

vpid 5500
apid 5502
 
will be nice to see BBC2 HD on that spare sid there...i hope this dream comes true

Why does it say that it's available on channel 109 wheres it's still not there? it has to be added manually as a non freesat?
 
Because it's a test.

It doesn't launch until 3 Nov ................... then you'll find the current BBC HD moving to 109 and the new BBC1 HD taking its place on 108.

The epg numbers on both Freesat Sky & will be changed before full launch. Probably Monday or Tuesday.

Please note - anyone with auto recordings set for BBC HD will need to reset the series links after the change!
 
That's fine, I only thought that it was something wrong with my box. Thank you for quick response.
 
Freesat EPG updated a short while ago with BBC1 HD now on 108 and BBC HD shifted to 109.

108 still showing Promo ............... first actual Prog is "The One Show" at 19.00.
 
Guys, do you also see BBC ONE HD logo like it was shifted too much left? Actually I can see "BC ONE HD". Same on BBC HD as of this afternoon.

Yes, it's a realtively subdued DOG and is certainly in the right place.

Tha sounds like an overscan problem - do modern tv's still suffer from overscan?
 
They can do. My HDR is connected by HDMI to the TV and there is aoption in the setup for pixel to pixel mapping, which gives the most picture, and 16:9 (or auto) where there is slight loss of the borders the same as if it's connected by scart lead. But this isn't a TV problem I would have thought?
 
I think it's got to do with Freesat set-top box as the other HD channels from different box seem to be scaled correctly. I'll reinstall everything from scratch.

What Freesat Box is it (Can't see it mentioned in your "My System" details)?
