Point for discussion

110 down the bottom left has been identified as one of the Gnomes of Dulwich. Thats a pretty obscure tv programme & seeing as all the episodes are long lost its never going to be seen on tv again.

Could it actually represent Red Dwarf? The gnome / dwarf seems to have a red outfit on

Whilst I can appreciate the Honorable Members valid observation, as the person who identified said figure I feel the need to defend my choice. Erstwhile a series as 'Red Dwarf' was, surely it would have been represented by one of the actors or an image of the spacecraft? (I cite the Tardis and a Tripod to affirm my reasoning) There are no cryptic clues, merely pictorial. Therefore I remain convinced by my initial conclusion.

Regards, The sitting M.P. for Dulwich, Alistair Gnome.

86 - Po - Tellytubbies

Unnumbered bonus - that particular Radio 1 logo on it was first introduced in 1975, then from 1978 till 1988 modified for the wavelengths First of all with 275 285 on it like the pic shows, then later with 1053 1089 when the wavelengths were dropped in favour of the frequencies.

75 Richie (Rik Mayall) in Bottom - episode Terror.

Mr. Speaker, I wish to make a statement to the house :

Yesterday, I made an error and now wish to officially apologise. The gnome which I initially identified as a 'Gnome Of Dulwich', is in fact on the original Sgt.Peppers album cover and therefore nothing to do with the BBC version. Please delete the answer and rescind any point I may have gained from this error.

I will of course be resigning from my seat with immediate effect....

Statement from The Speaker:

I'm sure the member for Normandy is well aware that since 2019 the following language is considered wholly unparliamentary:
  • I made an error
  • Wish to officially apologise
  • I will of course be resigning
Therefore any perceived wrongdoing by the member will be swept under the Axminster and never spoken of again. A bonus point will also be awarded for informing the speaker, who was previously unaware, that the quiz is based on a Beatles album cover.

Ends.

I am grateful for the Speakers indulgence, though somewhat surprised that his vast breadth of knowledge does not include Sgt. Peppers.

I'm scrapping around now ozumo for anything that might pass muster. I have a couple lined up (non-human) unless they've gone by tomorrow.

Makes a change from doing crosswords, my default brainteaser mode during a quiet feed-finding period :)
