The BBC has announced that it is delaying the free-to-air relaunch of its digital TV services on Astra 2D until July 14 while the Independent Television Commission makes a decision about whether to step in to the row between Sky and the BBC regarding positions in the Electronic Programme Guide. Sky has threatened to move the main BBC channels to a lower position in its EPG if the BBC does not use its conditional access encryption system. The BBC channels had been expected to begin transmitting free-to-air from May 31. (Reported on the What Satellite TV site May 11th)
