12168V is the only BBC HD transponder I'm getting at this time. Will it be going too?
I forgot that one. It comes in at around 10,5 dB here. I don't know if BBC will continue using it but BBC One South HD is there together with BBC Two NI HD so they probably will.

I lost BBC4 HD on its two frequencies yesternight.11024 and ...that's it,the other one "became" bbc three...
Had to watch SD,which works fine.
Am I the only one?
Surprised I am to see no-one noticed before I did...

TV is changing: Freeview is under threat, the BBC is closing channels and upgrading others, ITV’s broadcast licence is due for renewal and Sky wants to exit its satellite TV service.

Two years from now, Ofcom is due to report back to the Government about the future of digital terrestrial TV (Freeview).

How does this fit in with the BBC’s plans and what happens to satellite TV in the meantime? When are the key dates and how might this affect what you see on screen?

RXTV starts 2023 with a timeline of all the key events of the next decade you need to know about:

Thanks a lot!! kingofsat doesn t know this yet.

BBC4 online? it will die out,I think few geeks watch it.

And that link explains whats going to happen after so many years of Conservative government.
Will they sell a "bbc bouquet" to foreign platforms?
Still nothing of the sort on French platforms at least.

You have a year to enjoy 12422H It will shut down early 2024.. Then you will have to hope you can get the harder to receive dvb-s2 8psk transmissions.
In the morning I have a signal on the BBC frequencies in HD. In others of ITV also, but not in all.

Sky delivered via satellite isnt going anywhere just yet - they recently recontracted their SES capacity until 2028.

And with the best will in the world it will be years until the UK IP infrastructure is good enough for multiple users in one household in broadband poor areas can watch multiple HD or UHD streams at the same time.

The red screen is still there on the Satback service during local news, when is that supposed to upgrade?

Dont be too eager - maybe the Beeb will just run the contract out & turn it off completely!

Red screen still being shown on BFBS and across the rebroadcasts in Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland I believe. If someone can verify this would be greatly appreciated.

Just before the red screen appears you can see a glimpse of BBC One London.

Maybe it's linked with BBC One London? So when It switches to HD next week the Red screen might disappear from the various rebroadcasts and Satback service.

As all BBC regions have now switched to HD, what region is shown on the Satback service at 27.5 West?

It will still be the red screen version for now as on the terrestrial network in England. This may change in the next month or two as regionalisation is rolled out.

If BBC One SD on there is NE&C still (for the temporary transmitters while the Bilsdale transmitter is being rebuilt after the fire) then that will probably be what version appears in HD too, at least for a short while.

I checked 27.5°W last night, and it is indeed still BBC One NE&C on the SD (England) version, and the red screen on the HD version.

There's also a new service on there now, labelled "BBC One NE&C HD", but it points to the same video/audio PIDs as the other BBC One HD service (so with the same red screen).

This mirrors what's happened on the terrestrial DVB-T2 multiplexes in England - the local one here has a new SID that's appeared and that points to the same PIDs as BBC One HD. It's just in preparation for it to become BBC One West Mids HD next month. As Satback is still being used to feed some transmitters in the North East of England, that's why it will have NE&C HD (as in SD) for now.

I got the feeling the Freeview service will be shut down sooner than you think, maybes around 2028 or so. Don't know if analogue radio or DAB services will be affected. Don't see the point of installing a TV aerial at the moment. Everyone will have to install a satellite dish to continue watching UK TV services or go online. They will probably move the TV licence fee onto everyone's phone and broadband bills as a result. Just about everybody has broadband services of some sort now except older people.

Might be around a bit longer than that, depends what happens at the World Radio Communications Conference at the end of the year in Dubai:
