Even if you are outside the dreaded Astra 2E UK beam you will still be able to watch the BBC Red Button 2 channel for the Olympic coverage across much of Europe and the Mediterranean. Its being carried on the Astra 2F wide beam

The UK weather should give good results in the future but I don't know if waterskiing
counts as a summer or a winter sport. If the temperature drops a bit you might end up as
THE speed skating nation of the world. No laughing matter really, it looks really bad in
some areas.

978, RB2 strong here albeit this was availble via the "other channels" mode. No RB1.

Brilliant!! Thanks for the heads up David. No lock here on EPG 977 but EPG 978 blasting through loud and clear. Recording the snowboarding as I type!! :)
 
RB1 is on the narrow beam, so any areas outside the Astra 2E UK beam are out of luck with that one.

However if you have a uk vpn and a smart tv etc the stream are supposed to be on line too. No point me checking - our broadband is too slow!
 
SKY epg 977 what does this convert to in terms of frequency ? I didnt find it doing a manual scan of 28.2e so im gonna try to find it manually and nudge the dish in the direction of 2F which i understand is offset from 28.2

Winter olympic BBC red button option, now the winter OL has ended does anyone have info for future of this TP?

The RB isn't the only channel on that TP, so...
 
That TP is loaded with other channels as well ;-)
 
Anyone know if this channel will be re-activated for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games 7-16 March 2014?
