dead Kathrein UFS910 can anyone fix??

recorded family guy on bbc hd last night, switched on today and all bbc hd transmissions seem dead. deleted channels from channel lists, rescanned and no bbc hd channels appear.

itvhd & c4 hd all ok. anyone else lost these two bbc hd channels???
 
They are still there - they have moved over to DVB-S2 transmission mode with a SR of 23000 and a fec of 8/9
 
Yeah, did a rescan on the VU this morning and it's working fine

erm, so they were there last night... did a channel list delete and rescan and er, there they were..... nowhere on the scan... what am I missing :confused:
 
Can your receiver cope with a FEC of 8/9?
 
im also trying to get back the HD chans, i got a Passion+ HD box i get a nice strong signal from astra2a on dvb-s but if i change it to dvb-s2 the signle goes to 0, The box is ment to be capable of dvb-s2 any idears ?
 
Should be OK. The box does FEC 8/9. I'll check my Passion tomorrow.
 
seems in the tec specs it says the box supports DVB S2 : 1/2, 3/5, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 8/9, 9/10(QPSK) but i only get DVB S2 : 9/10(QPSK) running the latest update on the box not sure if this is the problem im not very clued up when it comes to this stuff :(
 
ignore last post!!! i do get DVB S2 : 1/2, 3/5, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 8/9, 9/10(QPSK) told u i wasnt clued up! :/ but still no signal..
 
No problem on my Passion. Make sure you have it correctly configured in Advanced Scan.

This is how I got my BBC HD channels back. Go to either non-working BBC1HD or BBCHD

Then from MENU / INSTALLATION / MANUAL SCAN ensure the following is set -

TP 10847
SR 23000
LNB Vertical
..
DVBST DVB.S2
Mod QPSK
FEC 8/9

I didn't do a scan, I just went back to the BBC HD channels & voila! :)
Thanks to Analoguesat for pointing in the right direction.
Llew's first picture shows it exactly as it should be except firmware updates seem to have changed a few menus... look for MANUAL scan!
 
Yes, I'm on F/W v.1.4.4. Haven't used the box for some time, so haven't updated lately.

Also, I have the basic Passsion, not the Plus.
 
Thanks for the help on this,a little late getting around to it but working a treat,also found Channel 4HD as well (sorry it's in the wrong thread re 4)but one question re 4 hd I'm only getting 29% quality signal 69% is this exceptable
 
I'd say thats to low (Especially for poor weather reception) but what to do is check the Transponder for Movies4Men+1 how low are the levels for it?, I ask because that because Ch4 HD is on Eurobird & if your dish alignment is out slightly this would explain the low levels you report.

I'm Registering NO SIGNAL for Movies for Men+1 but a quality reading of 64%on movies for men I rechecked 4HD and the quality is oscalating between 30% and 46% obviously somethings amiss my overall signal reading for Astra Sat is signal 68% quality 81% these readings are steady

Thats low aswell mate, whats your setup dish wise mate, just a Zone 2 Sky dish (65cm) or what?
 
No I got a complete fortec dish and passionn + HD box
 
Is it the motorised kit Maplin sold or is it the 65cm fixed dish they sold as a kit with the Passion?
