My earlier post was in response to Ross getting a fraction of what you, or others get down south.

Can I join the club please.:)
After three or four days I think that I may have got it sorted. It took a lot of swotting on the net and the beginners thread to get this far.I had most of the same problems that jealen01 had.For a long time I only had a flashing status bar on Dump1090.Once I got that going the rest was not too bad.
Just managed to get a splat using info from the VRS Trouble shooting thread.Still a lot of messing about to get used to it. the Wales software is still giving me grief. It works until I change the area code to 40149.For RX4

Ah now that bit is counter intuitive. I think its untick set current location, move the pin then tick it again. And restart the vrs programme. If that doesnt work paste the fiollowing code into VRS tools - options - website - intitial settings. Put your own lat.long in first though

Also looking at the rx4 mlat server it looks like there is already a user called Barnsley so you may need to alter your nick (Barnsley1 maybe?) if it isnt you.

Massive coverage across much of the northern central half of the UK from round there.!

Receiver locations in the main VRS options has 2 places to set the lat/long for starters.

Aftwer each change make sure you close vrs down & restart it.

It should be fine, try and tune in to 1090mhz.

You may or may not need a discriminator mod (a bit out of my area) I have only used the dongles for 1090.

Good luck and let us know, if you are on Facebook the 360 radar page will definitely know.

Thank you Analoguesat. That is nice to know.
I am in the process of writing a reply to post in the VRS thread. It is taking a while I am not very good at explaining things.
What I have done is go back to a older image where the SDR software has never been installed.,reason being I have done that much try this and try that to get the programs working that I could not be sure that something that I had done was causing the Splat problem.I now have a lean clean system.Dump1090/Wales mlat/VRS installed. All that I have done is set my location ect to display the Slat.Still not working properly.I am working my way through VRS thread now.The tip from Chris #97 looked promising No go though. The settings page with results is from inital setting in VRS Options. todays grabs below.
