Id say yes - the drop off on the more modern birds is far more pronounced than on older sats.
 
thanks for clarification, you see some companies selling 3.7m and 4.5m prime focus dishes and i did wonder if these would do the trick, but as you say with the new technology it would make no difference

I don't think my 100cm can catch it....am outside the 46 dbw as it stops at the northern part of the country yet am somewhere down in the south approximately 340kms away
 
I take these footprint maps with a cup of salt. Empirical evidence is what I go on...
 
Apparently there are a lot of unhappy legitimate customers. As some don't even have a view of 25.5ee and others unhappy about having to pay to have their dish realigned.
And to be fair, I followed all the beIN adverts and at no point did it ever say coverage will be reduced on Nilesat. To do it mid season when people have paid 12 month subs is very naughty. And I'm talking about legitimate customers not just for UK subscribers.

That would be surprising if there are customers in the MENA region who cant access eshail. Most of the channels in the region are on Nilesat including their main competitor OSN, so the people are either gonna have to have 2 dishes or just give up on one.

Nothing at all on 25.5e Mena beam using my 2.4m.
 
I was very lucky as my subs run out on the 4th Nov, so I haven't lost much at all, but it's still very naughty and not very honourable.
