I currently have my dish on Hotbird 13E and Arab Sat 26E. I am looking to buy a new cam to unofficially open some more channels.

What is the best unofficial cam and card I can buy for Hotbird and Arabsat ? What channels will i get ? and where can i find a tutorial site for updating cards etc.

TPS, Polsat, BBC Prime and Eurosport would be nice.
 
Dragon or its newer sibling T-Rex.

You CANNOT open Orbit on 26E - it needs a dedicated receiver. (The Orbit stuff on Badr-3 will be switched off at the end of the month anyway)

TPS comes and goes as the dragon team update the images.

Poslat is not available
Eurosport is now secure (unless part of a compromised service)
BBC prime was fta for a few days
 
I would say Dragon is faster but the Diablo is the same price and promises more
so I would either buy a Diablo now or wait a while until no one wants a dragon and you will get a cheap one on ebay..
 
I think the K3 may have it's nose in front atm but .....for how long.

What cam are you referring to?
 
All of em ....

- Polsat not available
- TPS worse then useless
- Eurosport not available

What can i open ?

Im a footie fan ..... so any footie would be welcome and/or some english language channels .....

I only have Hotbird and Arabsat
 
well if you want football then you might aswell buy an art sports card

If I bought a Dragon Cam and a K3 card could i open Cyfra + ?

At the moment yes, but Canal + France, Digital + and Cabo have all gone black, on the K3, and there seems no signs of new files at the moment.
Canal + France is working again, not a new file so maybe the provider is experiencing problems with their upgrade !!!!!!!
 
thats ok ....i only get hotbird out here anyway ........

Firstly sorry for being such a pain, and asking silly questions.

If money was no consideration, what would be the best cam, card and programmer.

My thoughts are a T-Rex cam (or dragon, happy for advice)
K3 Card
No idea about a programmer (would i need a card and cam programmer ?)

Are all these compatible etc ?

Would suggest TRex, and make sure you buy the latest release 4.6. The Dragon is its old version.
If you buy the CAS3 as programmer, you will have all you need to program this CAM.
