I am curious whats the best Lnb for an offset 1.80m dish pointed towards astra 28.2 from Amman-jordan. I have tried the Invacom but I did not yield any good results. Thanks

Invacom is overrated, mostly overrated on UK forums, try the Inverto Black Ultra and modify if for flange or try the Inverto White Tech C120 which is clearly the best and 1/10th of the price of the Invacom.

I would change the 1.8m dish you have for something decent.

Channel Hopper, something decent like what

Anything not made by Jonsa, and preferably a one piece reflector.

How about a 2.4m Famaval which can be extended to a 3.1m ?

sounds great, but very expensive and not worth it. Rather get a sling box subscription without the need for this huge investment. Thanks

I think that Inverto Black Ultra is the best for the moment

Thanks all. Will try to get one for sure.

Talking of lnb's for offsets, I have been trying different lnbs to improve a signal for a 1.5m offset. I usually put the blue straight mti but this cutomer is out of range and I was trying to improve the high frequencies for itv and ch4 (12.402V and 12.480V) and Five(12.422H).I tried the skybuster, black slim inverto, twin white mti, twin white technomate. And the winner was the yellow twin technomate. The rest got a pixilating ch4(12.480V) but the technomate had it working crystal clear but none of them improved 12.422H for ch five. I will go back soon and try the 4way yellow technomate.

Can u tell me where u bought the yellow technomate please. thanks

I have been trying the various LNBs on a ChannelMaster 1.2m dish (see my thread in the meters section) and found that a new Invacom Quad with a ChannelMaster offset feed clearly outperforms an Inverto Black Ultra at least on the 12480V transponder. Its a case of Channel 4 with Invacom and no Channel 4 with Inverto. You will need a meter like the Horizon for setting skew and elevation to stand any chance of getting good results.

I have now also tried a new yellow twin Technomate 1.0dB LNB on the ChannelMaster dish - and this like the Inverto will not lock the 12480v transponder. Because the proper ChannelMaster feed puts the feed about 10cm further forward than when a standard 40mm mount LNB is mounted on the dish I also tried converting the Technomate to a C120 flange by using the flange from an old Invacom. The feed diameter of the the Technomate is a perfect for for this flange (after cutting off the original feedhorn). Interestingly there was no improvement in measured performance with the Technomate now mounted on the ChannelMaster feed and still no Channel 4 on 12480v.

The yellow Technomate TM-1 is meant to be gold coloured. It is reviewed here.

No one has compared it to the Inverto Black Ultra but they might be similar. I bet most people would prefer the black colour to the yellow colour LNB!

The supplier in Cyprus is Future Electronics.

I went back with the yellow technomate quad, 12.402v and 12.480v working well for itv/ch4 but 12.422H not receiving,a very weak spike on the spectrum analyser.

@Zorba, from what your saying is the quad yellow technomate better than the Twin yellow technomate to be used with an offset dish. Thanks

Yes in my experience

I wonder if future electronics is out of business, they dont respond to e-mails. Also, inverto company very unproffessional in responding to e-mails.
