Sorry if it's the wrong place to post this.

Just seen this, and a few have been sighted not to far down the road.

New Thread in The Meeting Place .....

Shall I shift it?

Done.

Nasty bu**ers, isn't it.

I bet the sting packs quite a punch...

So far the closest they have been to me is about 60 ish miles away.

Hope they don't come this way.

I hate all these waspy/hornety barstewards. They should all be burned alive...

I think we need to send a squadron of Mosquitoes to bomb chez CJ.

Don't really care about mozzies - it's the wasps and hornets that I want this planet rid of.

They've been around in France for a couple of summers I think. Never got close enough to either type to identify whether it was Asian or European.

BTW Chris, are they large enough to show up on your Flightradar set up??

Sorry for the interruption to a genuine informative thread about invasive insects, but, in relation to the barstewards bit, I found this by accident the other day, had to post it here!

We'd have been surprised if it were any other way ;)

Anyhow, the Torygraph piece about these Hornets claims it's too cold up in the "North" for them to survive here. Typical Cosmopolitan sterotyping.

So presume were safe from them in Norway then:eek:

Pity would have loved to photo`d one of these:D

image.webp This little bu**er woke me up @ 2.30 am by stinging me about a month ago. I'd never been sting by anything up until then.
