Any news on what these recievers are like yet??

Want one of their PVR HD boxes as i begrudge pay SKY SUBS for their HD channels..

If they are transmitting everything free to air, then any receiver should do Yeshi. Initially you will only be able to buy receivers via two or three multiple retailers like Currys.

If they transmit in the clear then yes a DB will do fine - the only bit which wont work will be the full 7 day epg. (Unless someone develops a plug in which reads the epg stream)

prices have to be competitive with the so called sky "free service" only free about them is they are full of hot air ! seriously think would have to be under £150 to attract the punters. how about £149.95 p then offer later 3 versions one at £99 and the third at £199 with a hard drive.. Just like the sky plus box or whatever its called. outputs i would like to see 2xHDMI 2 xscart and a game connection. later versions i can see haveing a card reader.. for the HD channels say footie and films... then i suppose it would not be free would it ???? but worth thinking about.
