Didn't sleep too well due to being too hot in my bedroom (south-facing, plenty sun yesterday), went to open the window a short time ago, frost on cars & rooftops, DOES NOT COMPUTE!!!

Today's efforts and usual cat duties of guarding my dishes from the pesky bleaters..

I'm so pleased you didn't Post the pics in reverse order .... one might have questioned the fate of the cat .......

Didn't do anything today BBQ-wise, but yesterday I did cook up some deboned chicken thighs (seasoned, left to marinate for a couple hours, cooked indirect & basted with BBQ sauce) & shoved them into some mayo-adorned toasted buns:

Another example of "Wish I made more" cos they were damned good...

Made myself a couple burgers on the 'Q today, still waiting for that Bombardier sponsorship though... :-rofl2

Today, I did something unusual... I didn't cook anything on a grill
I made sausages and three hamburgers on the stove. In the kitchen. Inside....
We've had 3+ weeks of 20+ degrees celcius and almost no rain since may 1. Yesterday, it rained. And this morning.
Have been three weeks of fantastic weather, and it looks to continue another week...
Gotta put up another dish (parabolic antennna, that is...)!

Well, Rick Mayall was still alive when he advertised for them, so I don't need to be dead just yet... :-rofl2

Its been a gorgeous day up ere today. BBQ in the garden. A couple of beers. And as a bonus the neighbour gave us a cod he had caught on his fishing expedition this afternoon. An ugly bugger but will be well tasty when its served up in dinner :D

That was mid-summer-eve, the time when it is never too dark to party. All night you can almost read the newspaper (if you have some) all night long. And this is a special time, at least in my country to have some celebration. We usually flock somewhere and have some fun..... drink and eat

2018 has to be the most remarkable early summer I've ever experienced.
Since May 1, we've had 20+ C most days, a lot of 25+ C, and plenty of sunshine in general.
This is not how a recall the usual miserable Danish Summers of Despair.

We're now in the latter part of June, but even May broke all records in Denmark (hottest, most sunshine etc).

It's so good, that it's almost turned bad now.
Midsummer eve without bonfire (dunno about Latvia, but in DK fire is banned in most of the country!)
Good that my brother-in-law has a nice Gin selection - some fire is liquid...

Have been grilling extraordinarily much this pre-summer - today is no different.
Some standard sausages (from Poland, it says on the package).
Some spicy lamb sausages (british beef, but made in Holland).
Plus two kangaroo-steaks. Grilled properly.
And some veg skewers, plus the asparagus.
Very nice...

I had venison sausages yesterday, in a frying pan though.

I hat Ritz cheese crackers, cos I forgot to prep anything to BBQ, not that I'd have done so anyway, was too knackered after mowing, strimming and chainsawing.......

Last full day of a fortnight's hol in the South of France today ...... it's been between 30 and 34C every day. Glorious.

Did more garden work today, and then had myself some bacon cheeseburgers, with the burgers being made by myself, cos hand made are so much better than shop-bought...

TOO hot for me/us - 30C is our limit! Brother-in-law is in France and told us yesterday that the temperatures are around 40C - and we winced, Big Time!:(

Very hot here in Saratov, Russia. +34-35°C every day so far. Starting our way northwards up the Volga today, stopping off in Samara, Kazan', Nizhniy Novgrod among other smaller towns before getting into Moscow next week. Should be a little cooler there but more than enough for our look!-we've-been-on-holiday tan.

The back of my neck is quite painfully burnt after the past two days working in the garden, not nice.......

He must be in the south...we've had high 20's to low 30's but nothing that high...

Blistering hot at Beziers Airport.

But one is consoled by a wonderful lunch of Moules Mariniere and Frites at Le Grau de Agde an hour ago.

(Donkey and Chips, according to my less well travelled neighbour back home!)
