Hi.

I've got hold of a Conax CAM, but I don't have a card yet. When I plug the CAM into my digital box (Manhattan ST2000 CI), it still says there is no CAM installed. Seing as it's just a PCMCIA card, I stuck it in a Windows PC and a Mac as well to see what would happen. Nothing at all happened... Is it just a dead CAM or is this normal? Thanks.

Regards,

Which model of Cam ? 3.03 or 4.00 ?

Are you putting it up the right way ?

(Do not put cams in a Dell laptop (inspiron/Latitude) The voltages are wrong and they will knacker it

It's a 3.03

It doesn't go in the wrong way

Is that really true? How can a Dell use different voltage for a standard interface? Wouldn't it break every PCMCIA module you put in it?

Anyway, I'm guessing my CAM is busted, but I'll be very happy if you can tell me otherwise. Maybe I just need to put a card in it for it to show up :-)
