A new venture between the programme listings company Onthebox.com and BTopenworld will remind viewers of television shows they wanted to watch via their mobile phones.

The SMS alerts will cost 25p and can be delivered to a mobile phone as little as 15 minutes or as much as 6 hours ahead of programmes the user has selected via the Onthebox website.

BTopenworld said that the new service is "designed to prevent those with busy lives being sidetracked from the things they enjoy".

Good old BT. They can't provide broadband to everyone who wants it so 'Openworld' is 'partly Openworld'. Their Anytime service isn't because they can't sustain it. Their shares have dropped 80% over the last few years. But, this new service is sure to make them a renowned international communications company.
