Bt tv - poor signal sometimes

Hi,

I have bt youview but the free Ariel channels sometimes have really poor signal while the internet premium channels are always perfect.

Any ideas what I can do? I've noticed 2 connectors in the wall. Both seem poor. There's no way I can use both on the 1 bt box, can I?

I live in a block of flats and the landlord isn't being helpful.

Hello welcome to the forum!

How old is the tv antenna? - there have been a lot of changes in recent years as frequencies have been moved around. If the antenna is out of band (or the cable is damaged or full of water from a damaged connector) then you are likely to have problems.
 
I'd first consider changing the lead that is in the image, it looks like the cheapest quality of cable and is far too long.

Apart from that, folding coax like that can increases the cable losses weakening the small signal still further
 
Don´t think the " curly Kale " is the real problem, but it won´t help. Replace that with a 1m version and signal may improve slightly.
Main problem is probably poorly aligned antenna or bad cable distribution to the flat.
Take the landlord to the roof, allow him to lean over and see if his perception of your problem alters!
