Hi everyone,

I am trying to upgrade my matrix reloaded cam (ver 3.0) with the mr105.
onto my nokia 9800s. iam currently using a mastera iii, fun card 6 and master burner 2.3. everthing seems to go fine until its starts to download onto the cam a few seconds later i get buad rate to high for this reciever. Ive tryed mr 104 and chip cat, using fun card 6 as a 5 with the three files. so iam running out of ideas can anyone give me a clue or a hand. thanks

Mike

I have encountered this problem with an older Echostar 2110, I think it is probably because the interface on the Nokia is somehow not compatible, the cure is to upgrade your cam on another receiver if possible.

make sure your programmer settings are set to the proper values:

Funcard 5=24Lc512
Funcard 6=24Lc1024

A common problem mate.

Later.

I got a 'baud rate too high' message on my Strong 4375. :(
On inspection I noticed I had the card upside down. O-no
It's probably NOT that simple, just my 2 pen'orth. ;)

tyne and wear
baud rate too high message usually occurs when the receiver is trying to perform a serial upgrade it thinks you put a dummy card in
therefore you must make sure your funcards are programmed correctly
make sure your programmer and software supports larger eproms remember
funcard6 1024 eprom
funcard5 512 eprom

The funcard has to be programmed with the flash file and the eeprom file (first the ...1.hex and after the flash file and the ...2.hex. If you dont program the card with the flash file you always get this message. Almost all the readme files forget to mention this fact and many MR zip are without this flash file. You can get one from matrix home page.
