I am going to use the Dell Optiplex series as the base unit from a stock reseller as for £85 for a Gen 2 Intel Core i5, 500Gb mechanical drive, DVD RW drive and Windows 10 OEM key install this will leave me plenty of cash from my self imposed £368 budget. So I ordered the Optiplex 390 with 4 Gig RAM (DDR 3 obviously because of model time frame) turned up today (Next day delivery can't complain there), wrong model, sent the Optiplex 1030, which has the 3rd generation of the Core i5....... Popped the access side panel, One stick of 4 Gig RAM as payed for and the drive is a WD 500 gig also, I reckon I'll keep as the processor is the slightly faster version of the Sandy Lake (Bloody daft Intel names). What I will be doing over the coming weeks is expanding the RAM, apparently as long as the BIOS is updated you can stick 2x8Gig in these, despite Dells documentation says 8 gig max (2x4). The good thing is DDR3 is cheap as chips compared to the newer stuff.

[QUOTE="Ghostleader, post: 1056821, member: 322875"] So before Microsofts announcement that the Xbox One "X" was not intended as a successor to the original "One" merely a stop gap between that and the now announced successor (Xbox one 2?? Lol) I had been looking at the One X. The death of Tesco Direct there had been the opportunity to pick one up for just £367.99p as part of the stock clearance sale (Retail game free is £400-410 last time I checked) luckily I never pulled the trigger as that would have p#"sed me right off!!
