bypass phone connection with virtual number

Hi,

Ive been told you can set your sky box to read its phone connection through the internet to show your using a uk number while your living abroad. does anyone know how this is done? do you have to setup a virtual number through a voip client for sky to dial?

any info appreciated

Well whoever told you get him to tell everyone on here how it is done then. How can that be possible as a sky box has no way of connecting to the internet thus is unable to operate within a skype phone type environment??

i read maybe its possible through uconnect using a skype in number but this mainly only supports xp and not vista. just wanted to confirm if this or any other method was possible

At 55 Euros it seems a bit steep for a gizmo and cannot really see the justification of the initial outlay unless you have money to burn on PPV events,assuming of course it even works in the way you say, I have not heard of anyone using one but someone may confess in weeks to come.

The boxes wont connect using voip. Its been mentioned several times on the forum.The quality of service isnt good enough.
