Dave, this might help you determine if it's 5G problems - make a small coax lead up, feed from your Promax into a temp Cband lnb with feed as in picture, or use a spare lnbf you might have, set LO & power to lnb etc, - go outside , point lnb horizontally , spin yourself around and direction find looking for signals from anywhere between 3.5 - 3.8 GHz that look like the ones ive posted on the video. The signals shown are from a 5G cell just 300mtrs away from me due south using a funamental centre tx freq of aprox 3.79Ghz and a tx panel looking straight at me. You can see the destructiveness it's causing the lnb up to nearly 4.190Ghz.

Hello, I haven't watched c-band for a few weeks now and in the meantime there was a lot of work going on at a Vodafone station about 600 m east behind my Laminas. Of course, subjectively the reception was now much worse
Then I checked the usual suspects from the car with your tip using the Edision spectrum meter, armed with the previously favorite Kaonsat without any filter and the Solid WideRange Extended cband LNB only with Wimax without explicit 5G filtering. It turned out that two Telekom stations 400m and 2km away caused extremely strong interference below 3720 MHz, but only with the Kaonsat. The Solid were remained completely unimpressed. It can only be harmonics, the main frequency would have to be below the displayed 3476 MHz, otherwise you could think that the solid was deaf. But they definitely worked on the dish, they just weren't used because the 4090 H only came with 8 instead of 9.5 dB at 68.5 ° East, I hadn't checked the rest very carefully. I'll probably have to change again. Alternatively What do you think absolut the Titanium C138?
Greetings GaryX

Hi Gary
Sorry to hear that you re suffering from the dreaded 5G hobby killer problem - sadly it will only get worse when they start using frequencies higher up the band ie: 3.79/3.8GHz area like they have with my location. My big killer is only300m away due South of me and my Cband reflector looks directly at it most of the time - the harmonics from the 5G 3.8GHz signals totally destroy any decent Cband reception now ll the way across the band if no 5G filtering is used. I don't use lnbf type of lnb's here Gary, usually just Norsat lnb's but i do hear that the newer Titanium 5G lnbf's do give good results as long as the offending 5G tower is not too close.
Iv,e been doing a fair bit of comparison work over the last few months between different manufacturers and various different rx passband ranges of external 5G filters to cope with the very serious 5G interference here and to cut a long story short iv'e found the best compromise for me and my problem has been to use an 'ALGA RED' 3.820~4.2GHz filter attached to a Norsat DRO lnb ... taking into account of filter losses to the system, this gives me very nearly as good performance from 3.810GHz upwards to 4.2GHz with no 5G interference to what i used to have before the 5G towers raised their ugly heads .... some very very low DX signals though are now failing to give a lock :(. Good luck with curing your 5G problem :Y.

The ALGA RED 5G filter - 3.820 to 4.2GHz.
