I have a Humax 5400 with latest TOH firmware Hot5.8.

According to Lyngsat most C+Fr channels on Astra are encrypted in Mediaguard 2 and Viaccess 2.3.

I know I can't see those channels encrypted in Mediaguard2.

My question is, why can I see some channels, Jetix, BBC Prime for example, but not others, e.g. Disney channel, if they both use Viaccess 2.3.

Is it just that some of the time they don't transmit both encryptions or is my firmware a bit out of date?

Thanks

It's just that some French channels on 19°E are still transmitted with the old via1 ID (0078 I believe) in addition to the s2 and v2 IDs.

So not all via2.3 channels are open, as it depends on the ID used.

Thanks, that probably explains it.

Yes but only in French. Boomerang has the English soundtrack though.
