Hi

Which LNB is better for H-H motorized 1,25 m offset dish (80 E - 37,5 W), rotor is Strong (Digipower)2100.

WS International 741U CKU LNBF with Universal KU or BSC621 C/KU Band LNBF

Or some other?

I would like to receive both bands like feedhunter on one dish. Else i have 2 same motorized dishes and need both for Ku band feedhunting,on one I would like to mount C/Ku lnb.

Momentary LNB`S on both dishes are Inverto Black Ultra IDLB-TWNL40-ULTRA-OPP Twin 40mm LNB 0.2 dB.

Best regards and thanks for answers

I'd avoid a twin band LNB. Leave the Black Ultra in the breach and place the C-band LNB to the left or right. To be able to switch circular and linear without visiting the dish you will need 2 C-band LNBs.

A 1.25m dish is going to be a big, big, big disappointment for C-band.

Thank you very much for answer

Please tell me why I can`t only replace on one dish Inverto Twin to 741U CKU LNBF with included accessory recommended to be used with offset dishes like WS-KU2C100% Aluminum Conical Scalar Ring Kit

CONICAL-SCALAR-RING-KIT.jpg

Why is problem for example with Eycos 95.15 for feedhunting in C band change lnb setting then and try find some C band somewhere and after that feedhunting back LNB setting to Ku band and work again with Ku band feeds? Else Eycos have 2 tuners also.

Pictures are from some ebay seller and first official wsi.

A 1.2 is the barest minimum size worth using on C band, even then it's quite limited in what it will receive. The chances of catching any feeds on it are slim at best, I'm speaking from experience.

You can (if you want an LNB that performs rubbish in both bands).

Like Aceb says 1.2m is minimum. It's like using a 40cm dish in Ku band. I'm using a 1.5m and that is far to small already and aceb, Vipersan, and Nelson are using 1.8m dishes. These just get you a small sample of the C-band channels. I would say a good starter dish in C-band is a 2.4m and even that only performs like an 80cm dish in Ku band.

Hm, there goes my idea to scan the eastern skies on 1.2m CM in C-band. 40E is doable but it's going to fall down fairly soon so no real point setting up anything permanent. I think Yamal 202 @ 49E is a little weak for a 1.2m - unless someone has some experience with that sat?

I only get 2 transponders from 49E (3960V, 3982V) and they are right at the receive limit, but the footprint does seem to favour the UK slightly.

The good thing with C-band is that it is at the low end of the IF (950-1550MHz) where the Uno tuner is most sensitive.

Right now for C-band I am using a Gibertini 1.5m, with a Zinwell LNB for circular polarisation and a 421 for linear, and a Vu+ Ultimo receiver. I didn't set out to receive C-band I just thought I'd give it a try because I already had the dish set up for Ku-band so it wasn't going to cost me a packet to get a taste. So I just bought a C-band LNB, but then got fed up walking backwards and forwards to the dish to take the dielectric plate in and out, so I bought some more LNBs and set up a second LNB for linear. Right now I've got 78 active positions set up on the V-box for that dish.

hi to all
in my experience do not recommend anyone use this lnb type BSC621 C/KU Band LNBF
--it is best use for each band lnb
--I can recommend a C-band LNB brand ZINWELL :) ,are of course other LNB are spoken of as good like inverto,(dreamsat and MNC from ucraina), C-Band LNB Dual Polarity 13°K Typ: ESX241
