Cable for 36V actuator

Hi,

Do I need a special cable to a 36V actuator or can I just use common electrical cable? It's not easy these days to find that cable here so I was thinking about using cable commonly available at electrical shops.

For the high power 36v 3-5amp you can use decent multi strand low voltage/ low loss (decent speaker) cable, the low power sensor wires are less of an issue.

When I extended the reach of my dish another ten metres, I just added a length of 2.5mm mains power cable to my existing motor pair in the composite cable ( coax/sensor/etc.)

Should be OK with a lower rating cable too.
