Not a great buy, you would need a CAS interface to upgrade it to a Matrix Reloaded.

Really consider a receiver with a built in emulator, or at the very least flashable, from the look of your setup, a Dreambox of some description would be the ideal. :)

Hi guys, do you reckon this is a good buy? :
A magic cam has limited use now but having said that mine is currently opening what I want to watch or should I say have time to. It would be useful if you want to delve into experimenting with it i.e. converting it into MR but you would probably need a Cas interface to be sure of success with that although some laptops will do that without any problems.

After much hunting around for information I have come up with the following shopping list:

- "FunCard" 6
- Matrix Revolutions Cam
- £20 USB Card Programer
- Cheap (Under £100) Sat box with CI/CAM Slot

(Please bear in mind I'm poor and have very little money- therefore don't have £300 to spend on some all-in-one wonder box :D)

I am guessing using this stuff it should be possible to watch Canal+ and the other French, Spanish and Dutch pay TV on 19.2e? - Or is there a cheaper way of doing it? (ie. a different, cheaper cam).

Thanks very much for your helps guys :)

Edit: Maybe this box:? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5780218268&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores#ebayphotohosting

You guess wrong :-Guill

Canal+ cannot be opened by any cam, soft or hard.
the Spanish channels have changed their encryption a monh ago and are now closed as well. Dutch pay TV is like Canal+ (it IS Canal+, in fact) so : no go. The "free" Dutch channels are switching to Irdeto2/Seca2 which hasn't been hacked yet. Sky Italia has switched to NDS 2 weeks ago.
As for the French channels : TPS is open, if I forget some messages on this and other board which are saying that it isn't working any more since this morning (hope very much this isn't true) !
Ah yes, you can probably still watch the polish channels on Astra1 (or is that hotbird ?)..............

I think TPS is back, looks like an ordinary key change. So to answer your question : TPS/CanalSat France. Plus all the german channels and the FTA's, of course. Hispasat (30W) looks like an attractive alternative with tv Cabo.

Hi guys, sorry to be a nuisance with all these questions :(

My mate has found an Aston cam, two gold cards, an old COM card programer and his dads Nokia Mediamaster sat box.. Could all this be of any use to hack ANYTHING?

I've been told that the Aston can be used for Seca2 or Mediaguard. But Seca2 has NOT been compromised right? I dunno about Mediaguard..

Thanks :)

If your receiver has viaccess in it, you can programme the goldcard with a via2 flash and watch TPS on it.
