My Satellite Setup
TM5400 satellite receiver.
1.2 M dish
2 LNB
Free to air mainly
My Location
Southeast
Used to get both Hotbird and Arabsat with my old receiver and now with my new techno-mate 5400 I am only receiving hotbird although setup to receive to LNBs. Doesn't seem to register Arabsat when I select it. Tried to search for and add the other Arabsat (as there two 4&6) but dont know how as the manual is not much help. Any ideas will be appreciated. :)
 
You need to approach problems like this like a detective would.

If it used to work on another receiver then put the old receiver back in place and confirm its still working. If it does then you have narrowed down where the problem lies.
 
Can't remember exactly the menu structure, but you have to go into install satellites, pick the relevant Arabsat and allocate it to the correct DiSEqC port, for B or 2 by the sound of it.
 
thanks all for the reply, the irony is I know its working as it did when I first connected the TM receiver. for some reason it re-set its up when I accidentally disconnected the electric. The DiSEqC is set as 2 out of 4 but the menue is showing another DiSEqC 1.1. what also is confusing in this receiver is the transponder and LNB frequency... its showing various settings & am not sure which is the correct to get both satellites....
