My Satellite Setup
GBSAT 2CI, 80cm Comag eliptical dish, Moteck SG2100A MOTOR
My Location
Nottingham
As you can see my set up.
I currently get 13e, 19.2e,16e,10e,7e, 28e,5e
0.8w and 5w.
I cannot seem to find 30w.Does this give a good signal
Looking at the scale on my motor for 5w this is just about 0.
All the above are ok for quality.
Do i need to reset and slacken off bolts and re aim.
No obstruction in this area.
As regards East i have obstructions around 30e, but am not too bothered.
My mount seems to be plumb and straight.
Any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

Hispasat 30 west gives a very strong signal, if having problems try a different (and stronger) transponder to lock onto.
You will have no problems finding it with your 80cm dish.

Re twiddled with the dish, now using USALS pretty accurately to locate within 1-2 tweaks on motor using remote.
Have found Hiapasat so currently running 30E to 30W.
Have found that my reciever doesnt have all transponder frequencies, so manual input for wanted channels proving very succesful.
Only satellite not finding is Amos at 4 deg W.
All the same thanks to all concerned!!!

..
When Your location: Nottingham : Great Britain
Latitude: 52.90° N (52° 53' 59") Longitude: 1.30° E (1° 18' 0")

THEN CORRECT FOR Satellite: Atlantic Bird 3 (5.0° W) is - Angle setting on motor: 6.92° West
About 0 is between sirius and Thor (1E)
When this is not correct then You not find all satellites

Your dish might be to small to pick up Amos.
