Hello all,

I have purchased a MM programmer and want to upload my MM, ver 1.02 with
Penta 1.11, I have erased the software from the MM as described
(menu-->installation-->Coomon Interface-->prepare for upload). After restarting the reciever, the MM is identified as "Dream Load".

As I inserted the programmer into the MM and connected it to the PC, and before running the Loader program, only the grean LED on the programmer is lighted (According to the instructions, before connecting the two LEDs should light on). I ran the loader program, it showed a message "Not Connected". Pressing the connect button shows a message "Unable to connect to module".

now my module does not have any software and I can not get it back working. Could anybody PLEASE help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Thanks in advanced.

When I read your message I felt a little better because I've being attempting over and over for 1 month without success ...and I was begining to think myself not smart enough for these kind of things...almost given up!
So...keep me informed if you succeded because I'm in the exact situation you've described. No SW on magic...and very pissed!
Keep in touch,.
Cheers,
STefano

Dear paulb4,

all what I found is that you need a serial RS232 cabel !
Otherwise, a Null modem cabel (female-female) does not
plug into the programmer (female)

I'd say the MM is knackered. I have the same problem, tried everything, including spending 4.99 on a new cable - still 'Cannot connect'. Then foolishly spent 6.50 on a portable loader + that didn't work either. Given up. Not worth time, effort or money.
Save yourself a packet + buy a Dragon !
